Updated Oct 10, 2025

Import from Spotify Tidal, & Soundcloud

Beatfinder supports direct URL imports from Spotify and Tidal once you connect your accounts.

Connecting Your Accounts

  1. Go to Settings → Connected Accounts
  2. Click Connect next to Spotify, Tidal, or Soundcloud
  3. Sign in and authorize Beatfinder
  4. You'll be redirected back to Settings

What we access:

  • Read your playlists
  • Read track metadata
  • We never modify or delete anything

Importing from Spotify

  1. Go to New Search page
  2. Find the URL Import section
  3. Paste any Spotify playlist or track URL
  4. Click Import

Supported URLs:

  • Playlists: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/...
  • Tracks: https://open.spotify.com/track/...
  • Albums: Not yet supported

Beatfinder will automatically fetch:

  • Track titles and artists
  • Album artwork
  • ISRC codes
  • Audio features (tempo, key, energy, etc.)

Importing from Tidal

Works the same as Spotify:

  1. Connect Tidal in Settings
  2. Paste Tidal playlist or track URL
  3. Click Import

Supported URLs:

  • Playlists: https://tidal.com/browse/playlist/...
  • Tracks: https://tidal.com/browse/track/...

Track Limits

By default, Beatfinder imports up to 200 tracks per playlist. You can change this in Settings:

  • Set to 0 for unlimited (may take longer)
  • Higher limits work best with frontend processing mode

Troubleshooting

Token expired error:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click Reconnect for the expired service
  3. Try your import again

Playlist not found:

  • Make sure the playlist is public
  • Check the URL is complete
  • Try copying the share link from the app
